real stuff y'all

so i am NOT tooting my own horn (so-to-speak) but daddyc and i have been approached two times asking if we would be so kind enough to allow people to come into our happy home and do a magazine spread on it.... while we are all too flattered and i truly mean that we are also REAL people with REAL messes and REAL lives.   That being said today went like this.......  the in coming text "hey editor of birmingham magazine is on her way over" with NO TIME to spare, i picked up the random nerf bullets, milk sippy cups from the earlier morning, tried to wipe up the encrusted cinnamon rolls off the couch and what the dogs didn't get off the floor......
My monkey comes running in dripping wet (he apparently decided to jump IN the shower with daddyc) so of course, i had to come to a sudden hault, this baby was cold, AND daddyc brushed his hair "NOT the right WAY" and "can i have the socks with numbers on them" he doesn't like the NEW socks and luckily i only bought 12 pairs to get us by....... freakn' fabulous!!.....
"its okay self"; we have two more boys following this one surely they too won't act like a little girls and will wear the socks mommy bought them???  i will keep you posted.....
so i get them dressed and they did look totally edible in those outfits, remember that sweet fabric..... yes, i grabbed the camera to show you 'cause i am thinking i never followed through with an ending blog..... aren't they sweet?  a great friend put them together so she really deserves the credit, i just bought the fabric and handed it off.  And the little hornet's even has a HORSE on it?  did i know of his horse love?  heck, i can't remember that far back, that was fall.
wait mama... i see something red under your chest and i need to get it!

there just what i needed!
And then i got CLOSE too CLOSE

Now the biggest baby's big boy outfit...with pockets big enough to hold a lot of "things"

the littlest lamb has the exact same one that was made for Sam-i Am in the picture above, but remember he was StILL in his jammies at this point....don't judge!

and while i have the camera out, here is the lil' lambs settee i had miss hanna make pillows for, it will look better where his crib now sits..... if life isn't rushed enough, i already have plans for when he moves to a big boy bed..... i mean......
i think its precious, if i don't say so myself! its intended to have both side rails UP, but to use it as a settee i lowered one side.... although; i am FULLY aware, this will be where he throws his clothes in the far future....

Now i need your design INPUT..... or some advice... ONE PILLOW

i like this one i think.  clean, simple, not too fussy!
Now, TWO pillows

and finally FOUR pillows....

Anyway, so two outta three dressed and ready ain't bad, i couldn't get my hands on my lil' lamb so as i type he is STILL in his jammies.....So two boys dressed, i throw together a somewhat healthy lunch for these two and OUT THE DOOR we went, in the freezing cold rain, turned around to catch the lil' lamb half way up the stairs. phew! good thing i was johnny on the spot. wink wink.   locate the biggest babies shoes after a minor melt down about socks being WRINKLED..... really?  what was daddyc doing all this time?  while getting himself dressed and ready for work of course and then out the door as quick as he possibly could to save HIMSELF.   SO.... i get them tucked into their rooms with their sweet little class full of angels and rush back in the freezing rain running with my little lamb as if i may save our "good" looks or something, we are BOTH still in jammies; although, i had thrown on a pair of running shorts by now.... i am bad but not so bad to wear my pink jammy pants out in public, today anyway.  In we go, the magazine lady on her way, wet dogs running all through the house, baby covered in breakfast, spilled milk, need i go on, fort of some type contraption looking GREAT in the living room, and apparently the babysitter let the boys run completely wild and play what looked like "WAR" in the upstairs last night.... Just kidding Miss Caroline, you did a great job, the boys think you are the cutest thing EVER and we want you to come back soon... i just had to blame someone for the mess, ha!..... needless to say we are BOth looking REAL good and the house is looking well, like normal but NOT CLeAN.  Oh. and guess what. NO ONE had yet to brush their teeth and first thing monkey's teacher says is "guess who is coming today "the dentist" did you remember to brush your teeth?"  and as the honest child he IS, he uttered "Not today miss linda, my mommy was in a hurry and someone is coming to meet her so she said just tonight would be fine but i DID have a sucker, red too, look at my tongue" My face probably was looking a bit flush at this point, "bye love-y dove, see you at lunch- i love you too much" and back home i went...... the Baby is apparently cutting some teeth, seems like the whole darn mouth-ful, so down for a nap he goes after quite some diaper...... i manage to get beds made up, dishes IN  the dishwasher, and ANOTHER cup of coffee in hand.... SHE's HERE!!!  so i apologize first and foremost for my appearance, i was looking rather worn, i feel quite sure.  The dogs didn't attack her too bad, she was the nicest person EVER to walk and i feel honored to have met her..... She ask for a photo shoot on our house AND our little family... Feeling flattered i still kept my distance due to lack of a shower, teeth brush, and all together NO HYGENE today.  Luckily while she was here, the dogs only attacked one person, the pest control man, the lil' lamb woke up (he too wanted the nice lady to see him looking mighty fine!)  Needless to say, when she left i threw some lunch together for me and the littlest lamb and headed out the door...... 'cause i had some lunch boxes to monogram with names of course, all lowercase...... and you KNOW we ran into TWO people we know....always when you look your best!!! Oh and i also ordered the luggage- very boyish, very classic and i am okay with this.  Home again home again jiggity jog.... well, most of us, whitmore and i met daddyc and sam at home and charlie went to play with one of his buddies for the afternoon.   did i call and apologize for my appearance and what seemed like a lack of luster for life?  you better believe it.  Do i wish i would have been put together in an adorable outfit pressed and dressed to the nines?  Not in a million.  This is life and this is how we live it.   We are always real, anything goes, we dress up for hardly anyone..... what you see is what you get with me and my crew!  Some days are cute outfits (i love those days!), other days are for running shorts and tanks (i even more love these days!).  Some days are for hair drying, most are for ponytails.  Some for makeup but most for NONE. All days are for living, enjoying life, thanking God for the ones we love, praying He will keep us all safe under his wings, giving us strength to carry on this wonderful journey of life which he has blessed us with.   So i am just lucky enough to have met with a fabulous editor who is just as laid back and easy going and who has twin girls and remembers all too well, what little people and their independence bring to a happy home........ Lots of Energy (we like to call it that, it sounds better), LOVE ( i could love my boys, all four of them, NO more....), most adorable art work (whether it be on paper OR the walls OR in the closets made out of atleast 50 hangers OR on almost any and ALL lower windows with the help of our two furry member's noses) (you got it!  all of that INSIDE my home,we are like a freakn' museum, aren't we?) So come over, i won't charge you to view this, i will share a glass/bottle of wine or some V8 juice in a sippy cup, whatever i am cooking that day and we shall have a good time!! No rules JUST right!!!   I will also note *miss caroline babysat for us last night, while sometimes the boys are a little hesitant to welcome a new comer, they RAN into her arms----yes, she is that cute and truly loves kids-----and we love her already!  As i showed her the ropes of who goes where and diapers if in need, etc. she mentioned " yea, i heard y'all were a "whatever" "anything goes" type of family.  Glad to know we lay it on the line with our personality, ha!   I am THRILLED to have caroline in town and to have her too to keep the boys when Allie can't.   I will keep you posted on her pottery works, she is a busy bee with orders and request...mine included.  So build a fire, stay warm, cuddle with those babies, and ENJOY.
