a patch full of pumpkins

the boys most favorite thing was riding/driving these tractors....
And my neighbors wonder why we harbor every kind of riding thing there is known.....
IT is ALL they WANT for birthdays and Christmas to to their defense....
they ride and play on them ALL day EVERY day!!!
We get use out of our inside toys in january and february.

 a hay maze...

intended for washing hands... drank by some....

but the most fun of ALL was this adorable chocolate lab... well to some anyway.
recap:
monkey's favorite thing: climbing to highest heights of hay and driving the tractor, and maybe tackling the corn and hay maze ALONE (he is a big 5 year old now you know.)

My middle baby: the BARN no less... the baby animals, all the animals... we went to the barn so many times for this child and each time was just as exciting...

my littlest lamb: the chocolate lab ('cause ours at home was just too far away!), he followed this dog everywhere giving kisses and hugs... he is a dog lover for sure like his mama.... he secretly wanted to bring him home with us.....

this one is perfect for three more wild animals. climb in.
Daddyc wanted to go "his own" way... for the record we won... And also for good measure. my monkey ditched that tractor right about THERE and my littlest lamb jumped on and guess what?  his mama got to push him ALL THE WAY through the corn field going bumpy bump and helping him steer while keeping up with other boys but his little smile and laugh made it worth it.....

we laughed and laughed wondering if this baby pictured above and below even KNOWS how to do the right thing? we douted it and claimed our love for him anyway.....
Dear hornet,
really? really?  R E A L L Y?
we love you even more for who you are,
your mommy & daddy
bless him.  the little one below just KNEW his big daddy was in this black truck, really any black truck should host our big daddy.... he circled around and around wondering what was taking big daddy so long to get out.... FYI: big daddy was NOT in there and it was clearly NOT his truck.  It was a hard blow for a little man!

Does ANYONE want to sit my mom and dad? anyone?

 there we go.

Daddyc helped us pull our 5 pumpkins from the sturdy vines.

we stayed at ole' baker farm for 2 1/2 hours.... enjoying the country air.
Daddyc made the comment "you would think we keep our boys holed up in a condo in the city the way the dive into the dirt"  I commented several times on the appearance of red dirt on their clothes, shoes, everything and he assured me "this is all part of it, being a little boy that is"   I agreed and thought " i should have stock in oxy clean by now"
So we and our big daddy now have pumpkins.... and NO, i NEVER wait until mid-october to display pumpkins but this year....i did.
