blogging BLOCK

i think i have hit blogging BLOCK.  i can't come up with anything interesting to post.....Still working on somethings but today, i have nothing... Which is also what we did this weekend- and it was SO NICE!  the boys slept until almost ten o'clock in the morning, they too were tired and in need of a "at home" weekend....
We "GOT TO" go to the "tool" store, known as Home Depot, which is similar to disney world for the boys???   Daddyc built me a just the right size table for our Dicken's Village, the boys love love love to set the village up each year and play with it NONE stop, sure most the pieces are on the table to be hot glued back together, but how can i take that joy away from them??
And yes, we dabbed into decorating for Christmas since we will be beach bound when we normally set up shop!  I will post Christmas Decor later....
Daddyc raked and bagged leaves the "old fashion" way, with a rake and some handy "grabber things" our sweet Addy gave us one year..... That is our adorable neighbor again, i tell you our street is like family taking care of one another....
i was as excited as the boys were to see the NEW nativity scene we so graciously received last year from, forgive me i can NOT remember, some wonderful person who knows our love of nativity scence set ups.... Our stockings were hung....  Although, with not much care.... I came across a book, we LOVE books and i pack away all our Christmas books each year, and as i pulled them out, i had forgotten about ONE... so i sat down and read it and in the cover wrote the sweetest message from my MOM......  of how much she LOVED her "precious grand-sons" and how Jesus loves them too etc. etc. etc.....So just like that;  i wondered what this year would be like without mom here and i LOST ALL MY CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!!!!!   So needless to say the phrase "half ass decorated" deems appropriate, my heart was NOT there.....  I will get there but it wasn't this weekend!
later on when the boys came inside....  they were excited to see the things they had forgotten about..... And i thought "okay, you can all three decorate YOUR OWN little tree for your own rooms"
that was a whole lot easier said than done.
i bit my lip and held my hands down and truly LET THEM DO IT.... it was hard, they look like well, like a 5, 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 year old did them..... that is okay, rinse and repeat, it does NOT matter!!!!   It was stressful that they put so many ornaments on ONE branch and that they would BREAK them just looking at them...... but that aside, they enjoyed it and that is what matters, right??

THIS child.  Oh MY GOODNESS this child......
some of the ornaments were too fun and we couldn't possibly have to string them up on a tree, we NEEDED to PLAY with them.... That and play with the baby Jesus and all the old english dicken's people... and by PLAY i mean MAKE THEM FIGHT..... Note: that may be why he breaks ALL of them.
"sam, baby Jesus DOES NOT Fight, he is a different kind of hero that just loves and loves"
"sam, the village people ARE ALL NICE, NONE of them fight"
"sam, that cowboy is for looks to go on the tree, PLEASE put him back and play with your animals and barn in the playroom"
"See Sam, Now we have to put them on the table until mommy can glue them back together"
"SAM, SAM, PLEASE go find your super heros to FIGHT, ALL OF THESE PEOPLE ARE NICE and NONE OF THEM FIGHT"
Yes readers, I LOST my Christmas spirit with this child....
we tried to let them pick out their OWN ornaments that catered to their own liking to make their little trees THEIRS.....

we stayed outside most the weekend and we laughed and noticed our "baby" was climbing in and OUT of the WINDOW.....monkey indeed.
we let them pick out their own duds one day, or just really left it up to them to get dressed or not, which ever their heart desired....
Santa brought his tonka truck to my monkey when he was a mere 14 months old.... at 5 we STILL play with it, although, not quite as much but sometimes and other times my littlest lamb hoards it all to himself.

and noticing my calendar i noticed, i would NOT have time to make the class desserts after the program so..... i made my pumpkin bars with chocolate chips..... Look at how perfectly cut they are,  i take NO credit, thank you perfect brownie maker pan for that.  I also had one child to taste more than the others but all 4 of my boys LOVED them....... that is the only time they will LOVE something when i bake it, when its NOT for US!!!!!

And just like that i start the rat race of life again this monday morning, but with a bonus, family is in town and we will celebrate "smith" side tonight after a fun afternoon today with monkey's love of his life- he has been over the moon to have her over i just hope he finds something for them to do besides "deer hunt" or ride four wheelers, although, i have no worries at all, Miss thing can hold her own and no one knows her more than my biggest baby, we have grown up by her side!!!!
