blah blah blah

hooray for MOTHERs day out today.... a WHOLE 3 hours ALONE to do whatever it is i do.... Oh wait, i have a meeting at 9 am and another at 11..... better luck next time.   Not complaining they should be fun??  Although, it would be a whole lot more FUN if i had this to wear...
i will even take just the top or skirt, that is easy enough, right?
And yesterday i discovered a chill in the air.... And remembered i have YET to work on the boys fall clothes....  so i pulled back out the ole' fabric and jotted down ideas and called a couple ladies that sew... Stay tuned, i hope the clothes turn out as cute as they are in my mind??  And i am doing polka dots and matching ONE MORE YEAR for my monkey and then he is really really on his own.  One more year of lace on his sunday fancy clothes too.   And then i will forever miss seeing him in it!!!
OR SHOULD I sport something like THIS and take johnny carson's advice....
('cause this is about what my "to-dos" look like... mess of forever ending things)

"Never continue in a job you don't enjoy. If you're happy in what you're doing, you'll like yourself, you'll have inner peace. And if you have that, along with physical health, you will have had more success than you could possibly have imagined."
-Johnny Carson

No, i do enjoy the things i do.... a Children's Art Guild event & an old mill garden club gig.... no complaints....until i run out of time and have 3 stinky boys at my feet who NEED me then
LOOK OUT!!!!

a busy daddy, and driving with his big daddy.....
makes for a happy little boy!!

do you have a train table?  do you have to re-do the track a hundred times a year?  but its always fun when you finish.....

a trick for a treat

so since we are leaving for the beach on October 1st, i decided to pull out the Halloween decor early, saving myself that one little thing as we rush back into town for a Slammed weekend rodeo the next weekend......
Do you decorate for Halloween?
My boys love it!  And yes, some of it it so gaudy and bright orange....all the better!
*TRICK.... do it early so i won't have to add it to the "list" of to-dos
*TREAT....seeing how exciting it is for the boys to get out the holiday excitement from the attic
seriously considering leaving the "enter if you DARE" one out there.
sure, i coulda moved the trike and alarm sign....Naaaa!  that make involved an extra step.
here are all my little monkeys dressed up each year....a pea pod, a superman, adorable pumpkin, fireman & dalmation, a cow with NO sweet hat to add to it, a bumble bee, & a mean Auburn Tiger.....Stay tuned... we are ALL superheros this year.... jury is out which ones we will be.
i can no longer fill my bucket the whole month of October.... we would have major dentist issues!!!!
and what A TREAT to have a cotton halloween hand towel, NO hard to iron and dry linen & lace for exactly 31 days and counting....

please tell me you pull out some of this "crap" too.  pardon my wording!   I had to fade the color to make it look okay.... but maybe its just me, Orange is NOT my favorite color...

there is our carving scoop and a pumpkin mask!

That reads... "HAPPY 1st LIL PUNKIN  10/31/80 love, aunt faye"
so, my aunt gave this to me on my first birthday.... and it has NEVER been broken... that is nothing short of a miracle around here!!!
the boys set these out.... Thank you big helpers!!!!
this pumpkin is the special one in full color....
ALL We need is our pumpkins!!!!!  i think i will wait on those until at least october.
Happy decorating!!!!!

half past DEAD

what a game!   we had too much fun this weekend in Tiger Town.   And decided that we really ALL wanted to go to the game..... so all of us did.  Hind sight, maybe the 7 o'clock NIGHT game may not have been the best game for babies....but hey, it was a good time!!!
what my family is probably SO SICK of seeing....

our weekly pep note from the hotel, that i secretly LOVE to read!

just pretend this sweet sun suit had whitmore's monogram in Navy Blue front and center. sniff sniff....coulda shoulda, for sure WOULDA but ran out of time

sam is scared for his baby brother's life....

a daddy who slides down hills with you even when you don't ask him too is THE BEST DADDY EVER!!!

yes, it was HOT.  Can we get a WWWAARRRR EEEAAGGGLLLEEE!   HEY.

okay mom, i will share.
Here Sam you take all the YELLOWS.....
that is NOT sharing, that is giving him your TRASH!!!!

Aren't I SWEET?

Daddyc took the boys back to the hotel and tucked them in tight, big daddy and i rode it out til the END....  and so glad we did... We hit toomers corner post game (i tried to take pictures on my phone but i am not fooling with that now, so imagine us THERE, having fun, and in a sea of toilet paper being thrown......   And with all the excitement we just could not go down like that.... I rushed home to get my plus one and we took to the "town" to see Rolln' in the Hay no less.... Yes, we were the oldest people in there (i don't think??? we stuck out too bad though)  We toasted to our team, to each other, to our young hearted selves.....and shared a shot, a girly fruity one, laughed, danced FRONT row and did our best to blend in-  Truth be told, i don't really think we cared at all what people thought- we were having too much fun!   While we didn't close the bar down like we use-ta-could, we did what we could do and made our way back home holding hands, and enjoying walking through campus to get home.   SOOOO.....
we laughed on the way home and thought
"we still have IT"......
do you?  show me, i wanna see it to believe it?  next home game.
