my twin nieces turned 2 TODAY, we celebrated the OTHER day!
i didn't wrap the grocery carts and they were a little disappointed that they could ride in the car attached to the front intended for baby dolls..... very mean joke!
And i always question why we, mothers, do birthday parties at all? Kids love ONE gift and their family, maybe a pizza and for sure SOME CAKE, with their choice of design.... And that makes them the happiest little lambs in town.
WHY DO we DO thESE big huge parties??
Although, i will say, i did my best to scale WAY down for my big 5 year old this year and he did ask me for a "cowboy" party and was very stern with inviting his "girl" friends too.....i gave in to say the least.
that being said. we had the perfect party for the girls.
a farm cake too cute to eat. some gifts, they opened one, my boys TORE INTO the other (we had lost our manners on the way over), and cousins. perfect!
