we were also joined by the much needed hired yard crew...thanks guys!
we kicked off the weekend with a porch party down the street later that night, thanks for that scott family, what a treat to show up, enjoy refreshments of sorts, and leave with smiles......its a good day! the rest of the weekend was quite relaxing or was it?
we hosted a football gathering, our team spirit couldn't pull the team through but spirits still ran high at our happy home!!! (pay back today is not so fun)
tucker loves a good party (oh and to scare small children like this angel below)
everybody needs one of these pictured above... a good friend to hang all day, help eat peanuts, and look good on my couch with the rest of my boys!
looks like my little ranger is getting the bedtime countdown..... night night!!
seems like daddy was chosen to read the red tractor book too so we had to catch him on the screen porch (notice daddy is NOT paying too much attention to the book or even looking at it for that matter)
the team lost, cigars were smoked anyway (you can always toast to friendship, right?)
my side kick thought i may never stop moving around, he is too old for parties, ha! lucky i had him to guard me all night....
miss casey pulled through with some sprinkle cookies (monkey's favorite) and my little hornet developed a small crush on miss casey too....
bright and early sunday morn i headed back down the hospital to visit mom. She had another terrible night so rest was in high demand, lots more x-rays, walking around, tubes were all taken out.... so i headed out to get the boys ready for a halloween party and let mom rest... when i got home i found these peanuts in the yard looking cute enough to eat or take a picture of atleast.
costumes were called upon for the fall festival, and we shall wear whatever each person wants or DOESN"T want and after having to wake all 4 of my boys up so that they wouldn't miss out on the party, i think all of them could have been oscar the grouch and called it a day!!!! fun was had by everyone. whitmore a happy camper or happy bubble bee i should say and didn't seem to care a bit about dressing up.... as you could have all won big on your bet....the hornet DID NOT care to dress up and more wanted to wear "an outfit" so he chose his dogs and we went with it...does it really matter? Not to me. Charlie dressed himself with a little help from daddy finding his fireman "tools" and carrying them too. We were blessed to find a mermaid on the street to go with us!
i got to jet out and take the high road or the really busy, traffic-y road to the breast cancer event that was so nicely put together and was a true treat, however, i was missing mom and wishing she were there with me as we had planned but was able to snatch up someone equally as cute and sweet to keep me company. live music + yummy treats + a good charity + 20% off everything in store = a drained checking account. No not really, but i did find some oh-so-cute rain boots to wear, here in seattle it rains quite often.... hopefully you were a weekend warrior too. Atleast half of my boys got in their weekend golf game too!
Well, at six o'clock last night mom was brought home... I think we were all so happy to see her mood lift and be safe and sound in her own bed (and i think if she went one more day without washing her hair someone would get hurt or if you try and coax her into eating the hospital food again, either one) if you are in town please give her a day or two or week to get off her sea (bed) legs and get back to basics so to speak....for some reason she feels the need to entertain and host when friends are there which tires her to no end which stresses me to no end, ha! Mom is doing as my older wiser brother said doing "400 times better" and was ready for a grill cheese lickity split when she got home. I have no morning updates for today but will post later. Just another manic monday.... my family thanks you from deep down for the prayers, food, flowers, etc. mom will back and better in no time flat. post soon.
