mom headed into surgery this morning around 5:30 a.m. to have a disc placed into her back where bone is no longer. say some prayers and cross all your fingers that this surgery works and brings back "life" to mom's world. Its been a long hard road to get here and we have all our eggs in this basket. the next 12 weeks will be tough ones but with the holidays sneaking around the corner it could be either a pain or nice to snuggle up inside with some good company, festive decor, and hot chocolate, tea, coffee (whatever sounds good to you)???? She should be up and getting around/out and about in about 3 weeks but still no lifting, even groceries folks (and she loves to christmas bake/cook), for the duration of the 12 weeks....i will head out to the hospital for the day (thanks to mimi) stay tuned for more adventures in recovery....
p.s. say a quick prayer for mimi too. The lil' hornet woke up on the wrong side of his crib and is in some kinda mood!!!
