'tis the season

i hope to look like this

by the end of the week!  a girl can HOPE right?  it Won't be today.... we have our second round of flu shots (thats right apparently the boys all have to get TWO for the H1N1 stuff) but

i did sneak out, hardly can say sneak, i had all three boys, blasting christmas music, and rushing straight INTO dead stop TRAFFIC.... and for a moment i felt i lived in a big city (yes, i thought of you kate kate)..... but i was able to snatch some "wanted" toys and have them wrapped for the boys and our new PLUS ONE- baby caroline- Christmas gifts from Lolly & Big Daddy seeing how wonderful UAB hospital is and the fact that mom, dad, and Chris (yes, he departed with his newborn to stick by his own mommy's side..... stop reading now if you don't think boys are the sweetest little things that love their mamas)

anyway, i unloaded everyone into a local toy store and got them busy....(store owners would agree, they were busy bees.....they were probably so so glad to see me load them BACK up one by one, ha!  oh. and for the record yes, my monkey DID in fact have to go to the potty here too.....if we ALL four get out somewhere this child never FAILS to have to go to the potty) so as i ran around the store looking for EXACtLY what Lolly had sent me for and having it wrapped so no little boys would peek.....

A "good" barn for my lil' hornet and "buy him some extra horses" (y'all know my middle child is horse obsessed and well most all barn animals actually)

and "get my angelic baby girl grand-baby her "first" baby doll, Huggums by madame alexander (who didn't have and love this baby growing up?....yes, i still have mine- she is resting at lolly's house in my old room awaiting baby caroline's interest) oh and lolly is having her a babette gown made.... "what the heck, lolly?" All i ever dreamed of was a babette gown with the ecru lace that i would still dress my boys in if we had one that fit....just kidding, i am not bitter,  i too can hardly wait to see baby caroline in these gowns mom is stock piling in her closet......and i feel for sure i will do the same for her when my boys start wearing clothes that make my skin crawl.....Moms of boys, when does this happen? I have in fact told myself "monkey WILL NOT wear button on shorts NEXT year to church" but he does look truly edible in them but 5 is old enough, right? a little too old? just keep your comments to yourself, ha!

and find something for my baby boy (which i didn't..ranger really doesn't need a thing, just some love- he IS the third child)

Oh. And Charlie bug, as lolly calls him, wants a drum set...... not a cheap one that will break, a real big boy drum set..... So folks DON't TELL HIM but lolly has ordered him a blue, "like Auburn at his request" drum set coming in less than 7 days from a california drum store......

does it come with earplugs or a week vacation or just a bottle of tequila to make this enjoyable to others around?

this is what mom wanted to get them along with her other things she found earlier in the year..... Only Lolly would still be thinking of others during a time in her life as she has been facing....

speaking of  Lolly.....AFTER a sweet visit with our baby girl, never long enough, Mom would hardly let anyone else hold her, i did DEMAND my time though and could have held her ALL dern day but my baby boys HAD to be picked up from school (dont' dout i thought about leaving them there for awhile, they have sweet teachers and i knew they would take them in....and Mimi had the lil' ranger and i knew he was in good care) Anyway, after a too short visit, Mom had planned on a quick glance and then have to take it back to the house to rest, get into bed... but she didn't have to say a word but when she saw baby caroline she got in the rocking chair and grabbed that angel and held on tight ALL DAY.... She then headed to her OWN doctor's appointment around 2 and was there ALL day long and headed home finally at 6:30 (yes, she called and wanted to come see her boys but didn't have her medicine needed so had to go on home....is it safe to say Lolly LOVES her grand babies?  

Anyway, to conclude this babble i have carried on with.... Mom got a GOOD outlook to a sad situation.... We have a treatment plan, a couple answers,  and a whole LOTTA HoPE!! Onward we go.... we WILL have a Merry Christmas!
