Me: Hey, Lindsay i was thinking i will run to an arts/crafts store and buy styrofoam balls to paint as planets and hang from our ceiling but how many planets are there? NINE?
Lindsay: Oh gosh, lets see.... I think a couple years ago they ruled Pluto out as a planet, it dissolved or something, don't you remember that in the news?
Me: Lindsay, i have not seen the news in years, i see spider man, 3 hungry boys and then we are out the door...but wow! so that makes it 8 planets.
Lindsay: i am not sure about that. Lets just don't do that and we won't have to figure it out.
me: SCORE.
But i DID end up going to the craft store with boys in tow...... And i was able to find 4 styrofoam balls before the looks from letting my boys chase one another down each and EVERY aisle and letting my hornet throw himself to the dirty floor because i could hold him AND the FOUR balls.....
a fellow shopper: "mam, i think your little boy wants you to hold him?"
me: NO WAY! really, well, in that case come here pumpkin!
sometimes i wonder and want to say "do you have children? remember running errands with them?" because i feel for sure hers were not little soilders behind her, or maybe i am doing something wrong, or maybe she is just NO FUN at all??
So, 4 random planets later, our room did look so cosmic and 3D even if we started the week unknowing a darn thing about space and i will follow up with in one of our songs we still mention pluto as a planet so i never did finalize the right answer to that........one day....maybe
We have our huge gathering this morning with an ice cream social following, the boys are pumped and we all get to wear our matching bright orange shirts.... stay tuned.
But on a whole nother note.....GIRLS NIGHT next thursday night... Sex in the CITY (can you possibly believe i have yet to see it?), drinks & maybe dinner depending on when us mamas can sneak away from the ole' fam..... I am counting seconds at this point......
i have a feeling we would REALLY love to do this...
and just as much love to attend this....(this is when you send the invite to US girls only, party hostess)
i have a teeny feeling NO ONE will be wearing stockings, right ladies?
AND ALL THE WHILE we are enjoying much laughter, some cocktails, some juicy gossip...what?, dishing it and FOR SURE, complaining, patting ourselves on the back for all WE do, etc. etc. we will miss our broods at home more than life itself and be glad they are NOT with us for the moment
