all warmed up and ready to play ball. The excitement and dirty little grins were the most adorable things you have ever seen- Needless to say we were PUMPED about our first game!! Go blue jays!!
fyi: i washed my monkey's pants the very night before and can assure you they had NO grass stains- I think he looks at grass and dirt and it jumps right onto him....YAY!!!! (the game had NOT even started yet, he had been there 5 minutes)
of course our mimi came and wouldn't miss it and yes, that would be bacon in my little lamb's hand.
I had to wake him up about 2 minutes before walking out the door
(correction: big daddy had to wake him up and get him dressed for me so that i could get dressed and get those other two indians out the door and pick up snacks, we wouldn't want our little ball players to get hungry, would we? what would i the boys do without our big daddy?) and i felt the need to pick my little lamb up breakfast seeing how we tend to eat round the clock!!!
we had some pouting. It is hard to be little and especially hard when you REALLY want to play ball too, On the same field!!
one of our little princess' had the right idea...
while mimi just tried to keep the animals at the zoo fed...
incase you are a little fuzzy- these are our "girls" or 2 outta our 3 watkins girls- They are most adorable and very supportive of their boys! l.o.v.e.
my mom's eldest sister was there too. My monkey was so proud and for some reason his Aunt Faye was his "go to girl"- He wanted "her" to hold his hat, sticks, you know the important things DURING the game.... And she may have had to adjust his ball cap a HUNDRED times....
another one of our princess' up to bat. we were so proud. Daddyc was nervous 'cause this angel of ours was nervous. And i secretly wanted to tear up when post game chatting;
daddyc said "kate did great didn't she? she was a little nervous and i was so proud of her" i mean, does it get any sweeter?
our fan club
these two preferred a little tackle game in the outfield....
and oh my goodness. to say these two are trouble. I glanced over to see them digging through her mama's purse and waltzed right over to see if i could help them and look at the looks i got.
"WHO ME?
UP TO SOMETHING?
we were NOT DOING A THING?"
oh. and we KNOW we are cute.
These are some of monkey's bestest buddies in the world.
And i can't wait to pull this picture out at a high school event out or something down the road....
Great first game blue jays!!!
