after gobbling those to nothing, daddyo got the cupcakes started (thanks for that, who knew he was so handy??) then we moved on to our pumpkin carving (i left this to the men in my life..... this ranks right up there with drains (pool drains, shower drains, oh i could throw up thinking of pool's bathroom drains....i think its the thought of hair in them that really sends me over the edge, i have to stop now......)
look at the festive batter..... if only i had my lil' MK here with me, i would have some true appreciation of the adorable orange and black sprinkles and licking the bowl.... Did my boys think it was festive? maybe, i guess if i continued to remind them how cute it was.... Did they want one fresh from the oven, warm icing, with the halloween sprinkles? not in a million, did i try to kinda push it, and advertise, sure, maybe a little bit....didn't work. where is this little girl i call my own??? ('cause i know where her mama is...in vegas, where else?)
so on a tray they went for the "get together"
thanks lolly for the cute pumpkin face, we my monkey wanted a scary face of course and this is the best the little face could do. perfect!
appears daddyo did most the work...
where was the middle baby you ask???
why on the countertop, where else? looking rather slouchy in his picked out dino pj bottoms and un-matching shirt (like nails on a chalkboard)
and wearing his older brothers shoes (we live in the south and just when you think august has gone and left these ugly things in the dust, your child's size doesn't come in velcro only lace up and your mom hauls back and buys some more of these beautiful shoes after tying and retying and tying your shoes), oh and playing with the vodka....again!! i was just hoping he would get it open and take a drink or two.... no such luck!! And the littlest brother was resting up for the big event.
gummy teeth, a pumpkin filled with candy for trick or treaters, a big awkward paper pumpkin stuffed for little friends to bust..... ready or not!
and what a treat it was after two weeks.... we got to see lolly, ALTHOUGH, the bunny slippers weren't on, well, now they were. what would she do without my monkey? Lolly had her orange twin set on... halloween maybe, but i think it was more Auburn, i didn't ask.... To be honest i was kinda expecting the halloween sweater with dangles of pumpkins, spiders, ghosts (only kidding and laughing at the thought, she hasn't worn that thing in years, hopefully the treat is on us and it has been given to some other lucky soul)
a tackle for big daddy and some good uncle chris time (just the two of them in the kitchen, and just like my monkey would like it) when i coaxed him into leaving "heading to the parade" he put up a good beg for uncle chris to come parading with us (uncle chris is more a little friend and he wants to invite him over as he does his little 3 year old buddies, so funny) I have to remind him; although, he is fun, acts similar to john john and will, he is in fact 33, has a job and a family with a baby of his own on the way.... but all monkey could say was "untel kriss, i need help with my transformer, dad can't do it"- there are things daddies can't do and things that uncle chris' can do so well!!! Everyone needs one of both.
i tricked him to leave and what a treat we did find. thank you kind friend for these!! so creative, so cute, you shouldn't have, but glad you did, we got out of lolly's with NO tears, i credit YOU!!!
after being Aubie the tiger that "really" growls, a fireman several times, it was now time for super hero... no costume needs, our dress up box worked fine.... a monogramed cape, tool belt, sword from the circus, billy club to beat off bad guys, snow boots ('cause you can't be too sure), a vampire tattoo and the superman belt from the dog's halloween costume. 100% perfect!
as if we weren't late enough, i was moving at a quick pace, alone, i thought i had a little one but he had stopped, of course he did..... he found these fine fellows and had to put in the full report, we had in fact been rolled with toilet paper last night (one day too early, the tigers did win. war eagle!) and "if you find dem office-er police guy, shot um" i gave a little smirk of "who knows where he heard that and another one like, i promise we are morbid people" although, i did catch big daddy and my monkey on the porch earlier that day trying to shoot squirrels.......
nothing made my day better than seeing this lil' guy pop up on his float waving like no other to his mommy!!!
enough said, look at his face....arm around like he owns her.... in his dreams!!
i know i know... baaa hum bug! after our day.... i didn't even attempt the costumes. I felt rather scroogish but it was a whole lot easier to hold these little rangers.....
playn' in the street isn't so bad afterall...
monkey was out of costume too....
miss casey, your the best! and lil' hornet what are you up too?
josh was great entertainment, and the kids enjoyed him just as much, who knew babies, children, and college club kids enjoyed dancing with glow sticks so much??
hornet getting the speech of "you need to stay here and NOT go trick or treating" stewart wasn't beating the kids again but rather trying to get some candy from the pinata.... i knew you could!
ONE happy mermaid, TWO tired boys!!!
there is my cake, happy happy day to me! and a glow stick in pumpkin (genius)
dear 30s, show me what you got?
