missed us? we have been at the beach enjoying a "fall break" if you will.... we decided it was time to break from our crazy busy schedules and go play at the seaside for a week. good call by me! thank you.
and as usual everything was decorated to a T with pumpkins, scarecrows.... i failed to take pictures of the fabulous decor.....
we rode our scooters EVERYWHERE.... all day long....
we sure did wish we had our fishn' poles...
we hiked trails.... and found "things"... i was the LUCKY "thing" holder.... sticks of all shapes, palm leaves turned wolverene claw, flowers of any and every size.....
oh and yes. to answer your question.... remember: BREAK...FALL BREAK... we stayed in our jammies until lunch if we wanted and didn't brush our hair!!!! it was nice. and wore whatever we wanted which ended up being workout clothes and we said "we look like THUGS" (and i quote my big 6 year old)
we recalled our LOVE for things that shoot water at PEOPLE... And were thrilled to remember we "DO" know how to swim and dive???
we played A LOT. rinse and repeat A LOT. of ball... be it football, baseball.... just throwing the ball....
we wandered into the old fashion candy shop quite a few nights..... between that and the ice cream shop... we were "TREATED with treats"
and as always are without words how beautiful our beaches are..... it was paradise like in so many ways.... well, except for the way in which the salt water burned the little boys boo-boos and they screamed ear piercing screams... that was NOT paradise like at all.... Our spoiled little lamb's big daddy rushed to his rescue and took him straight to swim in the pool, i stayed building sand castles and watching my big 6 year old ride and surf waves and the middle baby worked his salt water issues out... phew! it was close.
our daddyc and big daddy showed up for the weekend.... always more fun!!!
we headed to our beloved jolie island for a halloween celebration!!! and a spooky walk, trick or treating, jumpy things, magic shows, popcorn and a movie, decorating pumpkins and a balloon maker....
the boys of course volunteered to help out with the magic show!
2 parrots and a sword later we were happy campers.
beer festival day- a whole lotta fun, i made a mental note to GO BACK next year..... GAME DAY more importantly and apparently a fancy car show too..... This is all in our little village. in 5 short short days, we did NOT drive anywhere, just enjoyed the weather and water and outdoors all together. good times. i thought.. maybe just maybe, i could sneak in a group shot. possible christmas card pic. i quit thinking crazy and went on enjoying our day. war eagle anyway.
note to me: it appears single shots of each child is going to be the easiest christmas attempt. done and done.
we drove a lot of remote control cars.... and then KICKED them when they didn't do like we wanted... great solution.
we took our time coming home and always hate to leave. but when we pulled in on two wheels THERE across from our house was the much loved church Halloween trunk or treat carnival.... YAY me!!! what timing..... SO.... Dadddyc showered lickity split and took the little indians over.... Good times.
4 more warm showers later.... carving pumpkin time!!!!
and look out. This week we are TOP TAD POLE in my monkey's class. Not to fret, we did our poster and special snacks BEFORE we went out of town, phew!!! And Monday Manic Monday we seem to be back in one piece and rolling with our punches with a full week ahead and HALLOWEEN GALORE!!!!! Must find costumes. is it bad that my littlest lamb wants to be a dog a puppy to be exact and i am letting him wear his middle brother's old cow costume? kinda dog like in a way, right???? whatever.
