My biggest baby was over the moon on Friday.... his "girl" friend was FINALLY able to come play.... He was sick, then she was sick.... Did he get her sick? please say NO.
She was busy, she had her art class, he was busy.... out of town... long long awaited playdate. two weeks is an eternity for mother, that would be ME, and child who talks of her NON-stop and begs all day everyday to call "KATE's MOM"
I have not broken the news that she will be at a neighboring "big" school next year, i dread the sad day! These two have been together since just a mere babe. And if anyone girl can hold her own with my rough and tough boys.....its this angel! Daddyc and i are in love too.
she loves our little brothers too. First we did the playground, she showed off her monkey bar skills, my monkey played in the woods.... 'we are at the playground, PLAY on the playground' He chose to be rough and tough with his BOY of a friend and stain the knees of yet ANOTHER pair of our pants while miss priss played lil' mama to the babies
And while sometimes i worry "what will we do with a girl at our house?" THIS girl, is just ONE of us... She jumps right on and takes off, trapping bad guys, racing on the four wheeler, doing "work" with tools, going inside and out.....I never wonder what it is about HER that my monkey loves!
And in the car
my monkey: "kate, did you see how my mom let that other car go in front of her? well, that is the NICE thing to do, let other people cut."
her: oh
monkey:" you know, kinda like when i let you cut in front of me everyday before lunch?"
And their teacher continues to remind me
"if it were not for charlie & kate the class would be caos.... if they are there. the class stays on task." I am proud of BOTH of these little rascals, they are two peas in a pod- Somedays they could both use a little "loosening up" and most all days, i am ever so thankful to have a child who LISTENS and does the RIGHT thing. Bless the balancing act of children's personalities.
while keeping these babies safe, i found a penny....
i don't pick these up
but mom always did
so i couldn't pass this one up, i placed it in my boys truck to give them some luck. wink wink. i have no clue why it appears metallic in the photo.
And while un-packing monkey's backpack i found this little note.
that is
i love kate.
her last name begins with a C. and we forgot the E but did add an S.
AND SO IT BEGINS......
