Can i call him "beautiful"- this is the birthday boy looking adorable.
and his smash cake...
the birthday boy and his grandmother who loves him to pieces!
safe to say my lil' lamb enjoyed himself a wee bit! He had all kinds of little friends who i did NOT photograph but should have....it was crowded, cold, and raining and my boys were running WILD.... I swear if i heard "oh my gosh! i don't know HOW you do it? is your house like a circus all the time?" i was going to reply with "me, neither, so mind if i leave one here with you?" kidding.... only kidding little loves of mine.... i am just mildly attached to my babies and each one adds so much, i don't know how YOU live without them.
that sweet muffin in the pumpkin seat sported THAT look the ENTIRE two hours.... Here mama kept checking to make sure she was in fact ALIVE and said she'd never done this before... i could relate! My lil' hornet wanted so badly to wake her and dote all over!!! As hornet-ish as he is, he is so kind hearted and loves a little one....
"please mama look at my boo boo, i am pretty sure there is one on there somewhere" there! NOw, its all better! i didn't get one of my monkey, he was too busy cleaning up after the little ones...he is truly his big daddy's grandchild.... And if we didn't hear "...i don't know how you do it" enough, then we heard "look at your little boy, just walking up introducing himself, such a little gentleman" and as his mama i was proud, blame me? oh AND "charlie looks like charles' twin" which we replied "really?" we don't think so but we smiled the southern way and said "oh.... he is a mess" and went about our way! isn't that what southerners do? I am actually waiting to have a bad day.... i want to go out in public and someone ask me "how are ya?" and i want to say "TERRIBLE....this that and some more to go with it" just to see their reaction! try it and let me know how it goes.....
Sunday was a great day! the big boys headed out to scope out the PERFECt hanging spot for monkey's hand made bird feeder! i took these through the laundry room window, seeing how i have about 10 loads of clothes a week atleast.... I am going on strike soon!! stay tuned.
And if we read a book, we...NO LIE...read over a hundred! Daddyc made the comment "i didn't read this many books in my first 10 years of life" Its truly bitter sweet but the boys LOVE LOVE did i mention LOVE books... they would rather read a bajillion books than watch a fun disney movie...good and bad! Bad, because we can't get anything done- If you can look at a little face and tell a child "no" when asking for books to be read, you are stronger person than me. So i keep saying i am going to atleast hide them for half a day..... I do love a children's book but GEEZ.....i photo'ed a sprinkle of them- we started counting sunday morning and in the first 30 minutes of awake time, we had already read over 10!
while walking around inside i spotted my big brown dog outside, guarding my biggest monkey, pictures don't take as well through the windows but it was cold!
and to be fair, i had to photo our little black dog too! looking quite cuddly i may say.
oh. and you wouldn't believe it. the fireman drove by, stopped and talked to my monkey AND turned his lights ON! it was a big deal.
sweet invite for a sweeter little princess who turned ONE too!
i WAS in a camera mood for this and OFF my hiatus so buckle up..... its a long ride through these!
and just like that we spotted a deer on the way there.... and the first question "does he have antlers mom? can we shoot him?" no angel, we CAN NOT shoot guns unless you are on hunting land or the police man will get us!
and while, i DO love balloons at a party, i was secretly shooting that BEE U TEE FUL white wash pine, is it? ceiling. yes, please!
the detailing was so fun to see.... i didn't get NEAR the photos i could have, but being a little crowded with my boys in rare form, hungry, and lots of sets of stairs calling lil' lambs name VERY LOUD, i didn't take as many as I would have liked too. Daddyc is probably glad, wink wink.
and we knew where to find mimi... amongest her grandbabies! pulling the "END OF PARTY" cookie favors off the tree because "SAM WANTED ONE" why else?
i had to get lulu's big bow, so sweet!
and who do you think mimi is calling.....BACK UP i feel for sure.
cookie favor branches...so sweet and SO TASTY!
lucky we were amongst family because these rascals had NO PROBLEM making themselves at home and scouting out the place.... good thing 'cause i was right behind them! look at the detail in the floors alone...i really love wide planks!
monkey knew this precious princess was feeling a little shy so he grabbed her hand....true love!
they were heading to the media room...i was right behind them... if you are going to have a spa, bar, media room, etc. you MUST have fresh popcorn. right?
i really loved the birthday angel's room, so pink, so perfect!!
you can barely tell, but the crib is gold.... it has some history behind it and i LOVE it!
notice the inside bumper, rocker, and bottom daybed skirt are all same toile...so sweet!
whats NOT sweet is my monkey running his stinky dirty little boy hands down the WHITE coverlet....
and such a cute cafe style way to do the middle baby's windows
why cook INside when you can cook OUT?
monkey was eager and slide down into a big puddle and had to borrow some dry pants....ALWAYS something, isn't it? just another part of the experience, right?
i love the whole english look...curved stairs, the little windows....
and the silver goblet collection on the buffet....i will take it!
AND the STAR of the show...did a GREAT job at her party....i was very impressed! an angel she is.
home again home again jiggity jog....
all boys de-robed in the mud room within seconds of arriving home hence the white under shirts in the following pics.
and we conclude with my monkey saying "i miss those boys from the party, but they live out of town mama, do you think they may MOVE by us? i lOVED playing football with them, tackle style"
and to that i will say "sorry" little friends of ours, when my monkey barrels over your first born child, he means no harm, just a little tackle football. Enjoy your monday...it is COLD in my parts.
