santa's big scene

we have LOVED every minute of our last weeks in December....to say the least.... And it has felt like a second and it was GONE!!!  Daddyc and i were chatting last night.... amongst a roaring fire and glass of wine....cue the "awww how snuggly"! at how big our babies are and how we'd be the crazy folks to have another baby and another and another.... hello, duggars, you have some competition!  

Then we QUICKLY snapped back to reality and realized we'd have to cloth and feed those angels and completely spoil them rotten and how nice it is to "play and enjoy" the ones we have...... And we get to love our baby girls in as large of a dose as they'll give us.... we will have our 5th baby girl in about 2 months but who is counting..... back to our holiday season.....

 we caroled around our streets...we missed some sick singers but have high hopes for next year..... we kinda had mad crazy game at this... 

 some of our singers took breaks when neeeded.... 

 we woke up babies and just had to hold and squeeze them tight.... us smiths, LOVE a baby, don't we??

 played a whOLE lot of basketball and super hero....

 enjoyed a view of our city...

 told santa all that and then some......

 really tried to go see him up close.... but realized it was more comfortable for everyone if we just kept our merry distance.

 found his secret candy stash!!!

 danced on stage.....of course!!!

 host an open house!!!! admired the beautiful babies on the christmas cards..

 Santa left our stockings full at big daddy's house on CHRISTMAS EVE..... And he left the grandbabies a BIG HUGE trampoline early too.... We have ALL, me, my bro, daddyc, and ALL babies have really had a whole lotta fun on it.... the weather has not being good...rainy and cold are not good jumping conditions...but we are looking forward to many hours logged into jumping....

 the smiles and laughing was priceless and ENDLESS as we jumped our hearts out.....it was beautiful noise.

 just a few of us wanted to help our baby caroline go thru her stocking....

 Santa left some coal.

 lastly, big daddy who is the bestest grandfather there EVER was and who has truly turned my children into total BRATTS pulled through with a dirt bike....... seriously???

 beyond words how excited he was!!!!

 Here we are...in all our Christmas glory.... Church went well, we fill almost a whole pew.... All six, six and under, faired pretty well through the WHOLE 1 1/2 hour service which reminded us the reason we celebrate at all.

 some of these angels went ahead and got cozy soon after.....

 my smith side babies are getting WAY to big and sweeter than anything.

 we are uncle wade's biggest fan.

 aunt susu's chex mix didn't stand a chance with this crowd and the kiddy table was even moved close to the adult table this year.... look out!!!

 And LOOK who is big enough to join us.... And i know what the photo looks like but i can assure you my monkey is NOT holding a glass of red wine......

 Christmas jammies

 Love to last the whole year long....

 its tearful how close these angels are.....How blessed we are to have so many cousins so close in age and distance to our home....

 i think we must have said "ok, now give some love" and they just squeeze as tight as they can, no one is ever left where one will have to say no hug her.... there is just over flow of affection for one another and so much comfort in one another's presence its un-canning......

 we were blessed to have our aunt susu in town.... she is way too good to us....

 in pure and total exhaustion we left santa his cookies and milk...one angel had already caved into the bed...... reindeer food was left for santa to sprinkle this year..... we were tired monkeys. And yes, when you are 6 years old apparently you no longer wear cute christmas jammies, you wear nike pants and tee shirts, sleep in boxers.....

 SANTA CAME!!!!!  we were in great debate after the days leading up to it...

 this is CHRIStMAS MOrNING but notice the windows.... ITS BLACK OUTSIDE..... no sign of sunrise yet..... we arose at 5:30 for some, made them wait until 6:30 and then woke up my middle angel......  this mama is TIRED!!!!!  not from early mornings but from LATE nights....

 And at our other cousins happy home.... An artist in the making.....

 older cousins got i-pads and our little angels are i-pad WIZES if you have any questions...... seriously?  and we don't even have one.... My biggest baby can remind you "HE IS THE ONLY kindergarten child WITH OUT one"  you can feel sorry for him.......now..... i feel about as sorry for him as i do our indoor spoiled rotten labs at my house..... And no, he is NOT getting one!!!!

 the only cat in america who will let my boys or miss priss touch it.....

 notice my two year in JEANS.... he has begged for some and his big daddy pulled through...smitten to say the least.

so now that i have posted a novel.    Happy new year to you and yours!!!  we are t-minus minutes from heading down south for a week to enjoy a little warmer weather and each other in TOTAL relaxation with no where to be and ALL DAY to get there.  May your new year start wonderfully!!!
