the graduate

what a fabulous year we have had....well, what a wonderful first five years we have had at Canterbury's Day School. I can't express my love for this place-  it has been a saving grace to all my boys who are in love with school and their teachers to say the least!!!  a welcoming and comforting place to leave my babies is a blessing every mother wishes for....
My biggest baby is so sad to part ways with some of his longtime buddies who he has "grown" up with day in and day out....  This is a WHOLE NEW chapter for us and esp. him.   We are so proud of his first five years of life..... And i couldn't have chosen a better role for him in our Letter People wedding ceremony... Father of the Bride.
(FYI the letter Q and U are ALWAYS together, so we married them!!!!)

and so... my baby has graduated preschool and moving right along to "big" school.  Where did the time go?
Dear Charlie,
we love you more than life itself and couldn't be anymore proud of you.
May God bless and keep you always, May your wishes all come true, May you always do for others and let others do for you!
i love you,
Mama
and now we vacate for a long while, don't get your panties in a wad, we will return in 18 days and probably around 20 days to the ole' blog- you know i'll take pictures!!!!!
happy Summertime!!!

it's a frog....

in my neighbor's dry cleaning.   I thought it would be nice to bring in the neighbor's dry cleaning since they have vacated..... only to find a little froggie hanging out right there on the bag.....  My boys were not sure what in the world had happened but quickly grabbed him and threw him in a box for an hour or two.... phew!  It was about to attack I feel for sure. i don't do frogs or lizards or earth worms very well.

righteous train...

rolln' down the track.
First, an antique car show/race/parade type deal... Camera died about 30 seconds into it, WAY before the cars arrived.  Use your imagination, they were neat! (what do you mean Mary, Sam NOT listening to you... Oh. i am not believing that for a second, wink wink.)
And then a outdoor movie party for some. so cute!
And early the next day, a race for others...

the firing of the canon shocked some little boys.....
we had wonderful out of town support
 and adorable INtown support

cindy pulling through and placing 3rd.... I mean...hip hip hooray for her!!

sue pulling through with flying colors...
and little boys tagging right along
 tats are a MUST.

and someone has to clean these boys up, Our baby Caroline is a little mama in the making.

we finished up running and gathered at our big daddy's for a big ole' family cookout.... And later, gathered at our own happy home with some dear ole' friends of ours for a little supper of our own.... NO ONE laughs like we do with this group of friends, always a wonderful time!!! Then on sunday....
we took to running AGAIN.  I was proud of the big boys for running and left the little boys home with daddyc after some golf and games to nap the day away...

we did ONE of EVERYTHING but the coolest was the firetruck coming and extending the ladder ALL the way up and then...BAM!!! Water....everywhere!

And after sweating like no other all afternoon,  we went to celebrate EARLY our big daddy's birthday.  We will be out of town for the real deal and then without my older wiser brothers crew so decided to do it a week EARLY instead of two weeks late.... whatever!

Good times were had all weekend long... Now time to relax and rest up.... OR get ready for a wild and crazy lAST week of school with parties, and letter people weddings? (don't ask), and water features. oh boy! Then off to the coast for some true R & R with the ones we love the most.  AAAAHHHH!
